Whether you’re new to the platform or looking for something different, here are 10 of the best Oculus Quest 2 games you should consider playing.
1. The Climb 2
The Climb 2, the sequel to the original The Climb, was released on April 28 with a new social hub, multiplayer, and multiplayer challenges. We had a chance to test out the game to see how it compares to the original and whether it’s worth playing on Oculus Quest 2.
The Climb is one of our favourite games for Oculus Quest, so we were eager to see what improvements Crytek made for the sequel. The graphics are stunningly beautiful and the gameplay is incredibly smooth. It maintains the same feel as its predecessor while adding some new features.
The graphics in The Climb 2 are stunning. According to Crytek, they have been improved from the original The Climb making it even more immersive. As you climb around your environment you can notice little details such as water droplets running down rocks or birds flying overhead.
The gameplay in The Climb 2 is similar to the original but adds a few new twists. One of these is found when you reach a certain point in the game: a gold medal challenge mode that can be played solo or co-op with another player online. This mode will require you to complete tasks in order to earn medals, which can be spent on unlocking new skins for characters as well as customization options for your climbing gear (such as chalk bags).
In addition, there are now two locations – City and Countryside – with each having its own set of challenges ranging from sprinting up tall buildings or scaling cliff sides before hitting bottomless pits below! It also comes complete with its own soundtrack so that players will feel like they’re right there alongside their favourite characters while tackling these obstacles together.
2. Resident Evil 4 VR
Resident Evil 4 VR Oculus Quest 2 Game you should play, the game is loosely based on the same name. The surrounding area of the game is a large open world. Players can explore locations such as villages, military bases, and caves to complete side missions away from the main story.
The game comes with an online multiplayer mode, in which players can form groups of up to four players to complete objectives. In addition, the game will feature a new artificial intelligence system called Dynamic AI that allows non-player characters to react intelligently to players’ actions and decisions during missions, for example:
By adapting their offensive strategies or by calling for reinforcements when their teammates are killed.
There are three different types of enemies in the game: regular soldiers, heavy enemies, and powerful bosses. Regular soldiers are equipped with different types of armour and use different types of weapons. Heavy enemies use stronger weapons but move more slowly than regular soldiers. Powerful bosses have more health and special abilities than other enemy types; For example, there is an armoured tank unit that uses heavy weapons and has a lot of health points.
The Resident Evil 4 VR Oculus Quest 2 Games you should play bring a lot of innovations in terms of gameplay mechanics. In addition to the traditional shooting mode, the player can also use various types of martial arts attacks against opponents. However, using this type of attack consumes some stamina points. If the player uses all their stamina points, they will be unable to perform any action other than walk or run until they regain some energy points.
The game has three difficulty modes: easy, normal, and hard. The game’s easy mode is designed for people who want to enjoy the storyline without having to fight many enemies or complete any puzzles. The normal mode is designed for people who want to complete the game on their own but do not have time for complicated puzzles or difficult fights with powerful enemies like bosses. The hard mode is designed for experienced gamers who would like to play a challenging version of Resident Evil 4 VR.
3. Golf+
Golf+ is a VR golf game developed and published by Superhot Team. Golf+ is currently available on Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest, and SteamVR.
Golf+ features a variety of game modes including a solo mode where you can play against AI with up to 4 players; a party mode where you can play with up to three friends (4 players total) against the AI; and a practice mode where you can practise your swing in the driving range.
The game also features an extensive customization system that allows you to create your own unique character and playstyle. You can choose from a variety of clothing items including hats, shirts, pants, shoes, gloves, belts, and more! You’ll be able to customise your avatar’s body shape as well as their skin colour so that they look just like you (or anyone else).
Golf+ also has a leaderboard system that displays your current rank in different categories such as longest drive or lowest score. The game features two courses: one for beginners and one for pros which are unlocked when you reach certain ranks on the leaderboard.
The controls are designed to be as intuitive as possible so new players will be able to pick up Golf+ quickly without having to spend too much time learning how it works. You can use either hand to swing your club with motion controllers or use an analog stick on an Xbox One controller if those aren’t available.
There’s also an option for two-handed putting, which makes it easier for some people to play golf in virtual reality than others depending on their level of proficiency with this method (and whether they’re left-handed).
The graphics are also top-notch, with realistic environments and detailed textures that make this game feel like a real golf course instead of just another VR experience.
There’s no doubt that Golf+ is one of the best Oculus Quest 2 games available right now.
4. A Rogue Escape
A Rogue Escape is a new VR escape room game for the Oculus Quest 2. It’s not a full video game like Beat Saber or Superhot VR, but it is fun to play with your friends and family.
The basic idea behind A Rogue Escape is that you’re trapped in a room (or a series of rooms) and have to solve puzzles to get out. You can play with up to 8 people online, so this is a great option for virtual get-togethers.
So let’s break down what makes A Rogue Escape worth playing on the Oculus Quest:
It’s incredibly simple! The game doesn’t require much setup, just pick your room, select how many players, and go. There are no complicated menus or puzzles to solve before starting. This makes it easy for anyone to jump in and start playing right away.
Different rooms are themed differently. This means that there are plenty of options available if you get bored with one type of puzzle or theme in particular (e.g., Medieval vs Modern). Some rooms also have more complex puzzles than others so if you’re looking for something more challenging then look no further than “The Wizard’s Lair.”
There are a lot of rooms available at launch! At launch there will be 12 rooms to choose from and each room has three difficulty levels for a total of 36 escape games! The first three levels will be free so that everyone can try out the game before buying it.
5. H3-A Fisherman’s Tale
A Fisherman’s Tale is a great puzzle game that you can play on your Oculus Quest 2. Here’s what we think about the game and why it’s one of our favourites!
A Fisherman’s Tale is a new quest game from InnerspaceVR that takes place in an old lighthouse on a small island. Players are tasked with solving puzzles by manipulating their environment and working together with other versions of themselves to escape from the lighthouse and find out what happened to the fisherman who lived there before them.
The game has been out for over two years now but it’s still one of my favourite VR games on any platform because it does such an amazing job at immersing you into its world while also telling an intriguing story through its puzzles, interactions between characters (and versions of yourself), and beautiful visuals.
The gameplay revolves around solving puzzles by manipulating your environment through virtual reality. For example, if you see something like a key on top of some boxes, then you can pick up those boxes with your hand controller in order to get closer and grab the key. Or maybe there is an object blocking something that needs unlocking so instead of just looking at it, you can grab it and move it out of the way or even just turn it around so that you can see what’s behind it. This kind of puzzle-solving works very well as a VR game.
The first thing I was really impressed with when playing A Fisherman’s Tale was how good the art looked in virtual reality. It has this unique style that is reminiscent of Little Big Planet but with a trippy twist. The colours are bright and vibrant with lots of detail on everything from your character model to the objects around him such as lamps, chairs, tables, etc…
The second thing I liked about the game is its sound design which is absolutely fantastic. The music is very atmospheric and relaxing while at times also being ominous which fits perfectly with the mood they are trying to convey through their visuals.
Thirdly there are some really neat mechanics that are introduced over time which change up the gameplay quite significantly from what it was like earlier on in the game. For example, at one point you will gain access to an alternate world where everything looks different but is still familiar enough for you not to get too disoriented or confused by what’s happening on screen. The problem-solving aspect of these levels can sometimes be challenging as well if you don’t know what direction to go in order to solve them though fortunately there aren’t too many puzzles so it doesn’t become frustrating.
6. ForeVR Bowl
ForeVR Bowl Oculus Quest 2 Games You Should Play
ForeVR Bowl is a room-scale game that will have you bowling like a pro in no time. It’s a fun VR experience that you can play alone or with friends.
The game is set in a bowling alley called ForeVR, which is full of nice characters. The level design is pretty cool, and the alleys are decorated to give you the most immersive experience.
The music is really good, and it makes you feel like you’re playing at an arcade in the 90s and sound effects also add to the experience and make the game more realistic.
The controls for this game are quite simple. If you’ve played any other bowling games before, you won’t have any issues playing this one. The game starts by showing you how to throw the ball and how to aim your shots.
The aiming is pretty accurate, and if you can master it, there’s no way you won’t get your first strike after just a few tries!
If you want to take the difficulty up a notch, there are some advanced controls that will help you improve your throwing skills. You can choose between different ball types and adjust their weight, hook, and spin.
We can say this is one of the best bowling games for the Oculus Quest 2 that we have played so far. It has great graphics, realistic mechanics, and the ability to play in multiplayer mode. We didn’t find any bugs or glitches and overall, it is a very polished game.
7. Cosmodread
Cosmodread is a first-person horror game that takes place on a spaceship. In this game, you’re tasked with finding out what happened to the crew of the ship.
The ship is filled with a ton of nasty creatures. You have various weapons available to take them out. The gameplay feels like a combination between Doom and Dark Souls.
Cosmodread is a fantastic game for those who are looking for something that’s fresh and different from other games in the genre. The game costs $29.99.
It’s exactly the kind of game you want to play while wearing a VR headset because you’ll need to use your hands to physically aim and shoot at enemies while you’re in danger of being eaten alive. And with no easy way to kill bad guys, it’s up to you to decide how you want to survive the impending threat.
The game is relatively short, but its intense moments make it stick with you for a long time. It’s not for everyone — especially if you have arachnophobia — but if you’re brave enough, give it a try!
8. Acron: Attack of the Squirrels!
Acron: Attack of the Squirrels! is a frantic party game with a single-player campaign or up to four players in co-op. It’s a tower defence game where each player picks a team of squirrels and uses them to defend their tree against an invading horde of squirrels from other trees. You’ll have to collect nuts, build defences, and fight your way through waves of enemy squirrels all while trying not to get knocked off your tree by the incoming attacks!
The game was developed with the help of Oculus Studios and it’s built exclusively for VR with full room-scale support so you can move around as much as you want during gameplay. The controls are simple enough that anyone can pick them up quickly but there’s also plenty of depth if you want to take things seriously competitively.
The graphics are great too – there’s lots of detail in every scene and some really cool lighting effects when you’re playing at night or inside buildings. The sound design is also awesome – there are lots of different music tracks that play throughout each level which really helps set the mood.”
9. Pixel Ripped 1995
Pixel Ripped 1995 is the latest release from Pixel Ripped Inc, a studio that has become synonymous with quality VR. Pixel Ripped 1989 was one of the first titles we reviewed on Oculus Quest, and it remains one of our favourite games to this day.
Pixel Ripped 1995 builds upon the same premise – you must play games within games – but this time there are new genres and 80s/90s pop culture references galore.
The game is played in two levels; the first level is inside a Gameboy-like handheld device, where you can shoot, jump and explore your way across an alien planet. The second level is played with a VR headset, where you take on aliens and bosses while controlling a young boy named Nicola.
While that might sound complex, it’s actually very simple to pick up and play – there’s no need for any complicated controls or button-mashing here. We’ve listed some tips below to help you get started.
If you’re looking for something new to play on Oculus Quest 2 or want to try out a different genre of game, then Pixel Ripped 1995 might be for you…
10. The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is a virtual reality game based on The Walking Dead series. Previously released on PC VR, it has now launched on Oculus Quest 2 and is available to buy via the Oculus Store. If you’re looking for something new to play, here are five reasons why Saints & Sinners is an Oculus Quest 2 game you should consider buying.
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners takes place in New Orleans, which is one of the few major cities that has not been overrun by hordes of walkers (the term used for zombies in the show). You play as a survivor who arrives in New Orleans and must find a way to make it through the city. As you explore, you meet other survivors and have options to help or hurt them based on your choices.
Saints & Sinners uses a first-person shooter system like Half-Life: Alyx, but without hand-tracking or teleportation. Instead, you move around via thumbsticks on your Touch controllers and aim with your head movements. The same right trigger button handles both shooting guns and swinging melee weapons.
Overall, the Latest Oculus Quest 2 offers a wide variety of games, genres, and experiences to anyone who wants to have fun and get some exercise. As there are no cords to limit you, you can turn anywhere while playing the Quest. When done within your surroundings limit, this can be an exciting way to get your heart pumping. Most importantly, our recommended list reflects the versatility of the Oculus Quest. These titles have been carefully selected because they each provide a unique gaming experience that is both entertaining and physically rewarding.
